Whatever may come, Nino Doborjginidze remains the Rector of the real Ilia State University. Her mandate derives from the academic community and the legal framework of a free university, not from arbitrary political interference by a vicious regime undertaking an unconstitutional assault. The attempt to "destroy" this university is a misunderstanding of what a university is. You cannot dissolve an intellectual tradition by a regime's fiat. We remain active, we remain critical, and we will continue Ilia State University.The University is our collective mind first and foremost, not some formal structure or infrastructure.We have a process already in place to eventually offer @iliauni.eu emails for continuity, you can sign up, but it will take some time to process of sign-ups. Our aim is that all academic staff can retain their academic identity via this effort.
